Our Commitment to Your Privacy
We collect information from you when you fill out the contact form or enter information on our site to book an appointment. We use a third party provider, to manage our social media interactions. If you send us a private or direct message via social media the message will be stored by for three months. It will not be shared with any other organisations.
Patients: our lawful basis of processing this data is one of contract – meaning that we need to process the data in order to fulfill our contract of providing healthcare services to you and, for the health information, the provision of health-related services. In addition, we will only examine or treat you with your explicit consent. Any correspondence we have with you that is considered outside of the contract is only done with your consent.
Employees: again, our lawful basis for processing your data is one of contract, you will find more information on this in your employee handbook.
Users of our website: we will only be able to identify you if you provide us with personal data when you contact us or book online, by volunteering this information you consent to it being processed. If you do not become a patient of ours, your information will be erased.
How do we use your information?
If you are a patient of ours, we use your information to fulfill the contract of us providing healthcare services to you. You can also opt in to receive occasional emails (approximately 4 a year), informing you of news or things we think will be of interest to you, for example: opening hours, promotions, health). Please note that you can opt out at any time by clicking unsubscribe. You can also opt in to having text/email appointment reminders. These are sent at 8 am and 7 pm the day before your appointment.
Where third parties are used by us to store your personal data, we ensure they are compliant with the data protection law and any such data is not stored outside of the EU. We only share your personal data such as health data with your explicit consent, where, for example we may need to contact your GP.
Whilst you are patient of ours we will continue to store and use your personal data. We are required by law to keep your data for 7 years after the date of your last appointment (or until age 25 if the patient is a child, or until age 26 if ages 17 at date of last appointment). If you contact us but do not become a patient of Optimal Spine Wellness Clinic, your data will be erased within 3 months of your last contact with us.
Understand and save user’s preferences for future visits. Compile aggregate data about site traffic and site interactions in order to offer better site experiences and tools in the future. We may also use trusted third- party services that track this information on our behalf.
You can choose to have your computer warn you each time a cookie is being sent, or you can choose to turn off all cookies. You do this through your browser settings. Since each browser is a little different, look at your browser’s Help Menu to learn the correct way to modify your cookies.
If users disable cookies in their browser, some of the features that make your site experience more efficient may not function properly.
Our website is scanned on a regular basis for security holes and known vulnerabilities in order to make your visit to our site as safe as possible.

Where you have provided explicit consent for us to use your data you have a right to withdraw this consent at any time.
Should your personal data that we control be lost, stolen or otherwise breached, where this constitutes a high risk to your rights and freedoms, we will contact you without delay. We will explain to you the nature of the breach and the steps we are taking to deal with it.

We do not use any system which uses automated decision making or profiling in respect of your personal data.

All of the information you provide during the process will only be used for the purpose of progressing your application, or to fulfill legal or regulatory requirements if necessary.
We will not share any of the information you provide during the recruitment process with any third parties for marketing purposes or store any of your information outside of the European Economic Area. The information you provide will be held securely by us and/or our data processors whether the information is in electronic or physical format.
We will use the contact details you provide to us to contact you to progress your application. We will use the other information you provide to assess your suitability for the role you have applied for.
